This includes 18 hours for the certified fire inspector. This will be a new class number provided by the Bureau of Construction Codes and Fire Safety.

Code enforcement is a technical position which demands that inspectors be well-versed in multiple areas. This new course is designed for all inspectors and provides them with the tools they will need to be successful. This course is designed for new and experienced inspectors. This course will build up the inspectors technical knowledge and provide tools for everyday enforcement. This course is designed as a “how to” type course. It is suggested, but not mandatory, that registrants complete the RAFT Inspector Basics Level 1 Course (or comparable) prior to taking this class.
Topics will include:
· Code reading
· How to read prints and calculations
· Sprinkler system inspections
· Fire alarm system commissioning
· Approaches to Code Enforcement
· Documentation of investigative scenes
· Wet Chemical fire suppression inspection
· Utilizing adopted standards and reference material
